Talking to the tuition waiver program in my home province and they're helping me go back to school to finish my BA and get an MA. Also - finished writing another album and chose a studio!
So glad it rained a bit. I hope it rains more tomorrow. Was walking back after an appointment and it rained a bit for the last 10 mins of my walk. The rain picked up again late evening and was nice to hear it tonight.

I don't get why they send it 3rd Thursday of the month. I'm not sure why it's not like everything else where it's a couple of business days before the end of the month. I thought I would have a nice top up so I can get a half decent place without sacrificing my nutritional supplement.

It is. I was supposed to get $160 and change. Another friend was supposed to get the full $200. Another was supposed to get about $120. They managed to be so spot on for CERB and that was developed in weeks. With how long the CDB took, you'd think they'd have it damn dear perfect.
I got it but they screwed it up. They did for everyone else who got it too. People only received between $40-$60 and apparently they're "working on fixing it" 🙄🤦♂️
The good news is you face the field lol. I quite often walked around in my boxers with the windows open due to the field. And one day I looked up and there was that older dude who wore the safety vest, walking his dogs. He looked at me and I just scooted to my room and grabbed some pants lol
Aww Teddy. This is awful. He's fought such a battle with it too. I get that it was probably a matter of time, but didn't think it would be this soon. I'm here if you need an ear.

Ah shit. I'm sorry. I don't eat things when I cant ID the ingredients due to peanut & eggplant allergy & OCD and I think I went in there all of once in the beginning and then just picked up something each day, and in my anxiety & situational overwhelm just sorta forgot a fridge was there.

I feel like anyone who deprescribes, especially in a rural community or the DTES, hasn't even read the guidelines or had a proper education. It's sickening.
It only sort of changed. General guidelines say those new to safe supply have to do witnessed doses, but I know of one person who's newly receiving it that has to be daily witnessed but it's only a temp measure until the person's stabilized and then they're getting carries. All-monitored my ass lol

Yep! What's your camera model? I'd recommend a 35mm F1.8 lens to start. They do go for about $600 new, if you go with Canon, but you can probably find one used on various selling platforms for cheaper under Nikon.

A friend just generously gifted me with 3 bags almond flour yesterday. Never baked with it before. I've enjoyed baked goods that had it instead of AP flour it was delicious & easier on my guts. I don't want to mess up whatever I make because I know it's expensive. I'm excited and fearful lol Ideas?
In foster care there were plenty of case conferences about me. I felt I should be fully involved. I advocated & eventually my workers agreed to let me take part. The same should be done for ECHO sessions & RACE line consults. Have pts/clients present their side. Nothing about us without us.

I worked in SU & complex care 20yrs & saw 2016 guidelines get misinterpreted & cause harm. A bunch of clients & a few coworkers got cut off & died from poisoned unregulated supply when seeking pain relief. Seems the guidelines part on examine bias, not impose goals & be trauma-informed got skipped

Thx for this. NP just dismissed me as not ready to taper (18mg HM-contin). Waitlisted for ankle & spine surg, on blood thinner -APS w/ gastric & liver disease- 2 rheums & weight specialist said NO gaba, NSAIDs/COX2. Returned leftovers & been careful. Without care now. No continuity. It's sickening.

This is horrible. A horrendous invasion of privacy and an absolute disgrace.
I can't say specifics publicly, but will say thank you. It happened during & after the career. Integrity, accountability & equity. We must always bring wrongdoing to light. Besides, commitment to accountability, integrity, putting public's interests above one's own are in the oath.
But to add to that - even if someone is using meds differently than prescribed, it's never appropriate to dismiss them for it. Maybe look at what's being undertreated and what the patient's needs and values are. Just like every B.C. Guideline & college policy directs. Anyone accepting new patients?
The whole convo felt like a big gaslight. went to urgent care & got 2wks of refills. I had diff treatments under way & this caused undue hardship. At least the pharm offered to talk to new drs/nps & wrote a letter confirming they don't suspect misuse and I've returned leftover opioids several times.
I told her she's not exempt from policies & has to renew my meds at least so I don't suffer harms, especially with my sleeping med, long acting opioid, ADHD med, blood thinner, thyroid med. She said "So I'm hearing you really want your opioid". I said "you have an obligation to refill everything".
. I reminded her I notified her every time a clinic turned me away and then cited duty to provide care from the college site and she was adamant she doesn't have to and that she has a right to withdraw care if she feels unsafe due to the complaint.
. In the call, I said I couldn't find anyone, get retraumatized every time I tell another clinic my life story, been repeatedly turned away, am overwhelmed, anxious, low energy & continuity. She gaslit with "You 30 days. Maybe you should've prioritized it, but you're not my patient after April 30".
NP abandoned me Tues. Claims my refusal of a med (2 rheums said NEVER take it) is "non-adherence & expression of non-confidence" & BCCNM complaint made her "feel unsafe & uncomfortable". I asked how putting her feels over my care is trauma-informed. She snapped I was "being inappropriate" & hung up
