Thanks for the quick answers friends. gray = own blue = you own this exact copy Follow up question. If I'm always adding the exact version to my collection, foiling, etc, why would it not always show up as blue? Why is it blue vs gray sometimes?

I have my collection sorted by colour, artifacts, and then lands. For mono colour, they're further sorted by creature, other permanent, spells. Gold I have by 2 colour, 3 colour, and then 4+ colour groupings. Artifacts I have mana rocks, creatures, and other.

I organize by colour, then by type, but don't go as deep as alphabetical. For all the decks I brew for filming keeping my collection somewhat organized is a necessity

Now that I've solidly moved into doing more Commander stuff, my collection is starting to balloon. Previously only playing canlander meant I could run very lean, but now I have to look at every Kindred card and think to myself "why yes, I think I can see Turbo Raccoon in my future" 🥲
I have a bunch of my staples already registered, spending a tonne of time having to double check each card to see if it's been added yet or not. It was a lot of progress getting both these boxes done even if the number didn't go up that much.

I've decided to do a digital catalog of my entire MTG collection. (Using moxfield) Even trying to break it down into manageable chunks I'm intimidated by how long this is going to take... Day 3: cards registered 2036/???

Update: I got extremely lucky. The tech asked if I was drinking distilled or heavily filtered water due to how little residue there was from the water. Turns out powering it off, quickly spot drying what I saw, and then hitting it with a fan (plus a tonne of luck) saved me. Bullet dodged
