IMPORTANT PSA: If you find kittens all alone, keep tbis helpful flowchart in mind. And also: —neonatal kitten need to be on a heat source & kept warm at all times, they cannot regulate their body temperature and you can kill them by feeding a cold kitten. —NEVER feed a bottle baby kitten COW’S MILK!

I am lightly horrified by how many people have now looked up their books and found out their publishers (who often were required contractually!!!!) just... didn't register the copyrights on books. Not all of them! Just sporadically! This is not just one publisher, I've seen all the big ones now.

Beta reading is a special relationship. When I was new, I'd ask anyone to do it. No longer. You need people who read a lot, read critically, and are willing to give you the gift of honesty. I ask people I know who are writers or book reviewers mostly. I ask people of different backgrounds.

My situation turned out to be a pinched nerve in the elbow. The neurologist advised sleeping with my arm straight--I needed to wear a brace to force that. Perhaps your doctor could advise you on how best to sleep with your condition. I was able to fix the pain only by bracing at night.

Little Bat has such a foal look to her. Her legs are so long, and she moves around very well while also looking like she's not quite sure what to do with so much leg. For her attack style, she switches to snake. I've never seen a cat so dedicated to belly-to-the-ground fighting.

Little Bat fell asleep next to me like this, which was great, since human legs are scary. When she woke, her huge eyes focused on that leg. She sniffed it. Monster, for sure! Those enormous eyes swiveled up to me . . . Then her whole body relaxed. That was HER MONSTER. And back to sleep.
