In other words, thereās *no scientific reason* to exclude trans women from sports - competitive or otherwise. Itās simply discriminatory. It doesnāt matter that people āfeelā that trans women have an advantage, because feelings arenāt facts.
As for C - because after tons of studies there is a very limited window (<1 year) for trans women where there is an advantage in a VERY MINIMAL amount of sports, and that advantage is shared by cis women with certain hormonal profiles.

Plenty of people choose sex work over, say, food service or retail because theyāre aware of all the gaps. In the other regulated jobs, thereās a ton of wage theft, you canāt make your own hours, you canāt turn a customer away if they give you the creeps, etc.

I agree those in the market for a new car should take a hard look at EVs. But I donāt agree we should try to convince or shame any one person to make a decision that isnāt right for them.
Car leases arenāt always the best financial decision. And $30k is not something I can shake out of my couch cushions. Thereās also the cost of insurance. And I have nfc what maintenance is - no oil changes, but is mileage-based maintenance more?
I trust that @scalzi.com will do the right thing when ready. I mean I donāt expect anyone to save gas by taking a cross-country train instead of a plane even though itās only āa little effortā. Mostly Iām wondering whatās āGood enoughā especially for those who arenāt coastal dwellers like I am.
I have a 2014 gas car; Iām not spending the ridiculous amount I would need to, to buy an electric vehicle. And Iād need to add a plug to my house for it (I donāt have a garage). So itās more than a ālittleā effort. At some point we will need to invest more in our power grid to handle lots more EVs.
Or imagine - every rest stop has a playground and walking trail so if the weather is even halfway decent, kids can get energy out and people can get some fresh air and movement if they donāt want to eat.
