I certainly agree people need to show up and vote and that republican policies are largely unpopular. The problem often is that democrats tend to struggle to get the most important things across the finish line. There's always a Manchin or Sinema deliberately screwing the party over.

One thing that seems to animate many on the right, and people who are largely disengaged but vote republican every time, is the fear of a rapidly changing society. Changing demographics, changing social mores and everything that comes with that. The six justices are susceptible to those fears too.

I'm not surprised the rallies went well. One encouraging thing I saw at the one I attended - in Naperville, IL - was the hundreds of American flags people were carrying. That's how you send the right message. When the national anthem was sung at the beginning of the rally, people were tearing up.
