You're right. My reaction was not properly thought out. It is not my own lived experience and I do see trans rights as human rights. I can however fully see this being a wedge issue used against the left like antisemitism was against the left under Corbyn's leadership of Labour.
My mind is more focussed on the general need to disrupt and change the neoliberal orthodoxy. Any politician making these noises should be supported.
