People choose their info intakes, they have no excuse for this (except this is easier for them, more beneficial to them, to think this way)

We've had decades of cultural messaging that you don't have to invest in things like education, youth, infrastructure, basically anything that isn't speculative "investing" that's more akin to gambling: we've lost cultural understanding that maintenance and investment is necessary to have a future.

This summer I took an EV roadtrip across the US & Canada β 9000 mi in 2 months, and I was driving nearly every day. Our country (and Canada even more so) is just *massive*. Like I knew that and even still... you really understand it when you drive from Pittsburgh to LA or Vancouver to Toronto.
