I’m not pretending the movie is a timeless classic for the ages but I legit believe Terry Kiser should have gotten a Best Supporting Actor Oscar nomination for Weekend At Bernie’s. Not a win, but a nod. He is the funniest part of the movie and this performance had to have been HARD.

I also find it increasingly goofy that we have to pretend a theater box office is the only place a movie makes money. It’s just where a studio has to do the least amount of splitting. Digital rentals, sales, blurays and 4ks, streaming service runs, all generate millions more.

Absolutely recommend the last episode, King’s third ending for The Stand now? Easily the best in my mind. The rest… Prime example that some stories are meant to be a linear journey.
The last episode is written by King and is all new material and fantastic. Big fan of some of the casting, Greg Kinnear in particular, but they changed the structure entirely (potentially because of the pandemic?) which just completely gutted any impact to the story or relating to the characters.
Among the few really good things from the more recent adaptation of the book.
