I'm so happy at my church. We've been very blessed to have great priests who have supported social issues and have spoken about Jesus' teachings of compassion and love. I've heard of conservative priests in other parishes, so I'm afraid to leave my parish even though I'm 35 minutes away now.
There are some conservative Catholics who believe the same thing. My neighbor, who's a "Catholic" MAGA actually said she hopes the new pope isn't as liberal as this one was. I told her I didn't see anything liberal about loving your neighbor, helping the poor, and welcoming those facing injustice.
I can't wait for one funeral in particular. That's one's going to be a huge celebration! Cheering, dancing, fireworks, return of democracy. It's gonna be spectacular. I'm looking forward to being there!
