Yes it actually has, and I agree with it. The best way to not be in debt is to pay it off, and the best way to raise that money is to tax the people who have the most of it. Or the corporations that stash money offshore to avoid repatriation taxes.
I'm so confused, so that ignorant assessment probably isn't far off. I think any prisoner should be able to get any medical care or treatment they need. But I think the state should at the very least be reimbursed eventually for that treatment or their insurance pays. This goes for every prisoner.

I actually do think prisoners should get access to education or paying jobs that are comporable to non-prison wages. Seems vital for rehabilitating people back into society. Just because I'm cheap, and I want the state to also be cheap, it doesn't mean I'm a hugely evil person on social issues.
See that's a good consideration: if a prisoner is uninsured, that actually seems like a time when it would make sense for the state to pay. But I still don't think it's unreasonable for the state to seek at least partial reimbursement for medical costs from the prisoner at some point in the future.

That's not even remotely what I said. If someone commits a crime and is imprisoned, why shouldn't they or their insurance pay for their GAC? Isn't that what would have happened if they weren't imprisoned? And I also think trans inmates shouldn't be housed with a gender they don't identify as.
And I'd love for the system to not rip off the government, but that will take a lot more unified political action by the population. But why does it seem like it's so incomprehensible for prisoners to reimburse the state for their GAC? I'm not even saying they can't get it like Newsom.
