Given how much control Brian has, and how new this program is. This is not the DNC taking over independent media. This is not nearly as nefarious as the wired article implies. The mild sketchyness seems more reflective of how new the program is, rather than shadowy partisan meddling.
Now that I have more information and after talking to friends of mine that know Brien personally. I can say with relative Brian is not nefarious. The only thing that bothers me is the restrictions on what sort of political content creators can produce and the secrecy about the money.

Ironically, Taylor is the one who’s acting the most like a clout chasing opportunistic grifter by exposing the potential risk of BTC creating a network of grifters that refused to be critical of the Democratic Party. I know enough people who know Brian to vouch for him.
In this media space there are two kinds of people. There are those of us who do this because they want to help change the world and expose corruption. And then there is those who do this in the hopes of fame and financial independence. Activist and grifters. On the right wing side it’s all grifters.
We’re so used to something like this happening and being extremely sketchy, and then suddenly all their creators are just silent on the issue of Gaza, or the lack of a Democratic primary in 2024. I remember when David Pakman called to overthrow the DNC then he went mainstream and became moderate.
I think Taylor is a little premature considering this is a brand new thing that hasn’t done anything sketchy yet aside from being secretive and certain content restrictions. Secret money and not so free speech is the bread-and-butter of conspiracy theories.

Kind of. Trump doesn’t think coherently enough to have long-term goals. This is really the goal of his sycophants in the administration.
