I work in academic publishing and tested an AI editing program. It was dreadful. Over-editing that destroyed the author's voice and made mistakes because it didn't understand the material. It doesn't leave queries for the author - just barrels ahead and makes changes you have to wade through.
It's already been spent on tax cuts for the rich

I'm saying live in a rural area if you love the good things about rural areas. And help shift the voting balance while you're at it so that our elections in these areas of the country are less distorted. Rural people moving to cities doesn't achieve that. 1/2

I lived in big cities for years. They are also places with plenty of racism and prejudice and class divides. Bigger pockets of tolerance and genuine respect for sure, but not utopias

I'll add the caveat that I'm speaking as a white, centrist Democrat. It's easier for me to do this. All the more reason for Dems like me to do so.
I'll add that more Dems need to live in rural areas and embrace rural life. I do. Break down this Blue urban/Red rural divide. Build something better rather than flee to "safe spaces." I am also so frustrated by Americans (unless they are in danger) leaving the country. Stay and fight for it.

As a person from a small town who moved to a big city for college, yes, it can be scary at first because you are new and don't know the map or the culture or your neighbors. If you aren't willing to humble yourself and learn, you get angry like this and lash out. Hard for big ego people to do.

Hello pessimistic people in the comments. If you are concerned, rightly, about the fairness of the upcoming midterms, seek out organizations working to ensure that these elections happen as they should. Donate, volunteer, or just amplify their message. It feels better than shrugging.
