I’m a consultant. I’ve seen inside every kind of organization. Good managers/leaders doing important work don’t run their teams ragged, and especially don’t brag about it.

I have a professional need to get a little more proficient with working with automated AI agents (I know, I know), and this seems as good a way to learn as any. At this moment, I'm planning on developing 3-5 personas, trained on the same data, but with different "personalities" and strategies.

It's always a pleasure to watch Alabama lose. It's even better when they're favored by double-digits. When you name your team after menstrual flow and 2/3 of your players don't know what part of the body that refers to, then you will regularly be in a situation where FSU plays smarter football.

Rate cuts mean cheaper mortgage payments when price of housing stays static. In practice, rate cuts tend to inflate housing prices (because a buyer with can now pay the same monthly for a higher price tag) It might be stupid to finance property right now, but cash buyers are going to do just fine.

My complaint about a California gerrymander is that it is only for 5 seats. If Texas is openly rigging the system to try to add 5 GOP seats, CA should be trying to add 7 Democratic seats. Don't just fight fire with fire, scorch every piece of Earth that the GOP thinks is theirs. Fuck those guys.

CA is asking the voters because it has to. A 2008 ballot initiative put redistricting in the hands of a non-partisan group who can't/won't gerrymander. A new initiative can overturn that. TX put that power in the legislature, which is why a state that's only 60% red can send so many idiots to DC.

And if he did, he'd make sure to piss in it before offering Vlad a drink.

Need to bring out the speakers and fire up the Go Go. Because ICE gets real nervous when they're surrounded by people who are dancing and loud.

Perhaps because people have twigged onto the fact that if they donate a small amount of money to *any democrat*, they'll be hounded for donations over recipient-pays SMS messages for the rest of their lives.

...which is generous. Most people who are trying to model Beijing in this situation would do this in week 7 or 8.

And if I were running this exercise, somewhere around week 11, I'd introduce this piece of news: "China has assumed military control of Taiwan, and simultaneously expressed their neutrality in the current European conflict"

1) the dc media market is the largest and wealthiest in the U.S. its failure to properly explain or even document what is happening in our city is a failure so grossly negligent that i can only compare it to a weather reporter botching a hurricane’s path this is a history-defining failure

Who is tabletopping "US/Russia alliance escalates tensions against an assumed EU/Ukraine alliance". Because while I don't think that's the most likely scenario, it is also far from the least likely. And it is really fucking terrifying.

I was in Monterey yesterday. It's car week, so it's a little wild. But something stood out to me: There are way too many <5 yr old Lamborghinis on the road for it to still be considered an exotic. Every needle-dicked cryptobro decided to buy a Hurrican in 2021, and it has greatly diluted the brand.

The murder rate in Cleveland is almost 30% higher than DC, so perhaps the Ohio guard should stay the fuck out of a beautiful safe city and go back to the shithole where they came from. Of course, it's never been about crime.

The DC situation is going to devolve into full scale violence, probably soon. If that results in masked goons becoming scared to go to work, it's a win. That's going to be the only way they ever consider defying "orders". It would be better if DC guard fires on SC/WV guard, but civilians might do.

South Carolina couldn't make it as far as DC in 1861.

MPD (What the DC cops are called) don't want the feds there either. ACAB, but letting the bastards face off against each other is better than letting them do this to civilians.

Vladeck: There’s one video showing a DEA officer telling a D.C. resident he couldn’t drink alcohol on his porch—D.C. law says exactly the opposite. It also highlights how these officers aren’t even trained in the laws they’re purportedly enforcing.

I miss both the fancy and the sometimes necessary 2am pies. No judgement meant, mate. Sausage roll looks extra good, too.
