Spotted last week on a walk w/ my Dad… Ontario DYI auto body repair. The tail light is secured w/ balled up duct tape (zoom in). The "metal repair" is DOMESTIC SPRAY FOAM(!!!) covered w/ the worst bondo job ever 🤣 Ontario doesn't do safety inspections BTW. I guess that would be communism 😏

Fire doesn’t look like much from 35000 feet. Half a doesn’t pin point plumes of white smoke and large swaths of black trees but it’s hard to distinguish the green from the black through the haze at this elevation. Regardless… so sad to see NS on fire.

I tend to agree w/ your Dad but I’d say there’s nothing wrong with feeling the whole world is a better place as a result of someone dying. Like I don’t WISH it on them but I would welcome it. The trauma he’s caused is incalculable.

The “new” (been out in the US for over a year) 4.0 “avocado” beyond burgers are a big improvement. No weird metallic aftertaste. I just hope they can survive. They’ve been flirting w/ bankruptcy for years and keeps losing more and more cash and sales volume.
Beyond is coming out with a generic ground product (not a beef mimic like the burgers). Might be good? Note sure if / when it’ll come to Canada tho.
For context, I work at a gas station with a car wash and we have not heard one word about shutting it down. It uses a lot of water. It's funny how no business have to make the sacrifices.

Same. Tinnitus. Which is why I opt for laser whenever possible. That said I had drilling years ago to replace a metal filling and it didn't aggravate my Tinnitus so that's good to know. But for a filling it's just more pleasant. Might not be a laser dentist in Truro tho? I only know of 2 in Halifax
FYI my dentist uses a laser instead of a drill. Doesn't work for all cavities but it works for many. And of course it wouldn't work for replacing a metal filling. Still… kinda cool. No needle.

I do this too… for socks and underwear but also for shirts. Once a year I just buy 10 new identical t-shirts (aside from colour) at Marks. It’s my entire wardrobe. Year round (aside from activity-specific clothes for things like running, hiking, etc.)
