I have seen more active outreach from governments in Europe to fund research, in particular post-docs, in a way that would make them attractive to junior us scientists (people immediately post grad) and some professors. To be honest, the post docs will likely be the most impactful
If you are interested, I’d suggest keeping an eye on www.aaas.org They have a much broader reach with their publications, but since they lobby and do advocacy work they’re likely to put more info out there that’s specific to the US science environment. I can say anecdotally …
