Oh my gosh, that's amazing - it's a different mindset to look at a map centered on the arctic these days, and see how close we are to Canada, Russia, Alaska, and remember we don't have to move laterally! So you clearly know what houses built for cold should be like!

We lived in Texas for 25 years before moving to Finland 2 years ago, and these buildings are DEFINITELY designed to "trap heat," and in rapidly-climate-changing-Finland, that's made for a miserable July every year! We bought an air conditioning unit, but it doesn't do near what our Texas HVAC could!
