In my previous city, I could take the bus from my house to the light rail at any time of day or night. 1 hour-ish to the airport. About the same as driving. It's wild the differences in just regional mass transit in the U.S., nevermind connecting cities or states.
Once on the light rail, another $2.50-$5. One airport is 15 minutes further. The other one is an extra 90 minutes (2 hrs total). A third airport also takes two hours but I could take Amtrak directly there. Airport 1 & 2 are both exactly 20 miles away, or a 25 minute drive.
I live between two major airports. Right now, on Sunday, the only way to get to either of them by mass transit requires me to wait until Amtrak or regional commuter comes by on Monday (Tuesday bec holiday), and transfer to light rail. So half hour on heavy rail, $8 one way.
recent post by @musicologyduck.bsky.social got me thinking: If you are in the U.S. and took mass transit (not counting Uber/Lyft or cabs)--just buses and trains, how long would it take you to get to the closest airport?
i live (clearly from recent posting haha) near to one of the biggest train hubs in America and i still couldn't visit my mom in the 15th biggest city in the US, Columbus OH, by train because there is no Amtrak station there. And if I went to the nearest major city in OH it would take 24 hours

that one was WILD. Outbreak at the host school for the festival. Festival is cancelled because they can't verify vaccination status for that many districts/schools. But my principal insisted on doing the feeder concert the same night in the same facility because supposedly we could verify status.

usually I would agree with this sentiment but look up "The Great Commission" (documented as Jesus' own words in the book of Matthew). In this case, they ARE following Jesus' teachings.
