I feel sorry for most of the National Guard but not at all for the ICE agents. My guess is that except for a few members the National Guard does not want to be in DC doing this "work". I can't say the same for ICE agents, they seem to enjoy treating people like a bully that they are.
There is no argument that can equate to Isreal at this point. No one can really argue that Isreal has not gone over the deep end in the Gaza mess. No excuses.
Maybe later the government can claw back some of these funds as being gained illegally.

Exacly right. Heard on MSNBC this morning talking about the Chicago murder rates and how it is down something like 30% and has been going down year over year they said, BUT they ended up with "it is still high". Which goes exactly to the MAGA crowd that only sees/hears the negative.
A whole different category is a hurricane. I'm taling floods or tornados which are more pin point. I gave up any tornado warning systems bc it would alert me even if the tornado was 150 miles from my home or a threat to one.
Why? Trump will never reveal his state of health. So the media knows it is a wasted effort, (for the most part).
I'm sure part of the reason is that the alert systems can't target the right area with any kind of precision, thus to consumers too many false alarms. same with tornado warnings,

In the Charleston area are now having to listen to a new candidate for Congressional #1. Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Colonel Alex Pelbath. He loves Trump / the MAGA movement. So I ask: How does someone who served 20 years in the Air Force love a guy who is turning America into a dictatorship?

The more I read these days about Trump's wishes, it seems more to mimic a little boy in a candy store who wants everything. He must have said to himself after the election: "now I can have anything I want and do not have to pay for it".

The world will have lots of cleanup to do after Trump and Netanyahu finally leave office. Netanyahu keeps the Gaza war going full tilt with more reservists being called up. Isreal will recover from this debacle but it will take time. Trump is killing the US, but here too we will survive him.

There is a very large population of younger men that want to "play" out the power trip. What better way than to be an ICE agent with no barriers to committing forceful arrests and damage to people and property. All without any risk of being arrested themselves. A secret police group.
Trump is trying to stir the MAGA base and therefore the local officials to think about the elections and voting machines. End goal: No mail-in, no machines = no votes counted as hand counting is just not possible these days. So this is an attempt to cancel voting.

1) Proven intellect on some stage 2) Known morality somehow through their prior actions 3) Ability to speak to the masses, like a JFK or Obama 4) No criminal record or major indictments 5) Great inter-personal skills to be able to talk across and down 6) Not older than 60 7) Hires great people
I would hate to see a actor/tv person just because they are well know and we have no real insight to what their capabilities nor morals. So I ask: what credentials of a new candidate do we need? My list follows.
The idea is right on, bring someone outside the polical left and not going on 70 years old. A real leader, maybe from the military retired (we did that with Eisenhower) or a successful business leader (not a fake one like Trump).
You are right on. But we need to clear the heads of the next leaders of DOJ not to think it is immoral to go after fellow Americans, example: see Garland. We need to keep track and press for full justice.

How is this even calculated? Each company that imports will make a percentage decision on how much to pass thru. High margin products, I would guess would pass more, while low margin products, almost all of it. Who tracks this? Or is it polling?
You are/were assuming that the average folk that are not really tuned into geo-politics, or politics for that matter, would get the ads. Yes, it was one of 100s of Trump actions that should have made him un-electable. But it wasn't.

When I was young we had a number of religious groups coming to our door. If I answered and they asked for my mother or father, I told him or her they just died. That usually stopped them from other conversations
It will not be pretty for the next 3.5 years. Trump has to be gone at that time. The single most important task facing us is to ensure that Trump and MAGA do not hold power beyond his normal 4 years. That has to be the goal, Fixing America after that will take tears, work and intelligence.
Examples: Germany 1945, Japan 1945, Franco Spain 1975, Portugal 1974, Greece 1974, Argentina 1983, South Africa 1994. and more... What this shows us that America can and will re-build back to something close to before Trump and MAGA.
What really sustains me is that when other counties in other times had a terrible leader that led them to a disaster for the country, almost all of those countries rebounded to normal life. They rid the stain of the prior leader usually a dictator.
Being that we are in the midst of the worst calamity that every befell America. 3.5 years to go. I'm muddling through mentally. I keep wondering how did sufficient number of people elect Trump? Twice no less. boggles the mind still. If I was 20/30 something again I might be more active.

Yes it will take time and many people will have had a most horrible experience. First and foremost is how to make sure that Democrats can win in the 2026 election to start. We need to make sure there is an election, fair voting and acceptance by Trump of the outcomes. How.. lets work on it.
My America is all but gone, but we can and must get it back. How, by doing the small things that over time will resist and help us back to sanity. There is nothing I believe that Trump and the MAGA will have done to America that cannot be re-constructed.
