And I would guess that he wasn’t even a genuine millionaire about 5 years ago if you looked at actual net worth (and certainly if you only counted legally-acquired money).

I truly am excited that you are excited 😀. I am similarly undiagnosed, but my flavour of it allowed me to be obsessed with computers and software since I was about 10 and it’s been an amazing life creating software. I’m delighted that you discovered the talent that was in you all along 😀.
I have spent my whole life in building software and I went to school for Computer Science. It started with learning to code when I was young and I’m infinitely thankful for that and also delighted when someone else gets excited about it.
As someone who is a lifelong math geek (and holder of a Mathematics degree from one of the few universities who grants such a thing), you are my hero, Howie! I love your posts!

Fair point! A friend brought that CD to my place when it was first out. I loved loved that song the first time I heard it and have since played it 113 times according to Apple Music (I’m sure it’s at least 5x that including other media).

Honestly, I think part of it is that most of us memorized times tables up to 12x12. On top of that, it’s odd, its digits don’t add up to a multiple of 3, and it doesn’t end in a 5. It passes all the quick sniff tests. Even a legend like you can make an error (rarely, of course).

If it seems to open properly in Google Docs and not Word (although I’m not sure that’s true based on your description), probably your best bet is to start a new (empty) document in Word and copy and paste the content from Google Docs. Otherwise, you might have to retype it 😖.
That is very odd 😵💫. Did you open it in Google Docs first and then download it? That’s the only way I can think of that it would corrupt it. I’m not a fan of the Google suite at all, but have had good luck with Google Drive.
If you download it to your local drive and open it in Word, it should be fine. When you open it from Google Drive directly, it opens it in Google Docs and converts it. Not ideal, tbh.

I saw them in concert together in Toronto in 1995. Their talent is other-worldly, so I think your alien phenomenon suggestion is a solid one. Looking forward to your two beer revelation.
My trick was not to tell anyone I was writing it until it got published on the Kindle store. The second part of it was setting a future publishing date on the Kindle Direct Publishing site and knowing that I had to upload the manuscript by then.

Another lesson here is that you can label three sides of a right angle triangle with any numbers you like, but it doesn’t mean it’s valid.
As someone with a Math degree, you made me think about it for a moment. But, as you know of course, a triangle has to have sides of a positive length, which 0 and √-1 are not (on top of i being—and I’m searching for the right word—imaginary).

When I was a kid, two of us egged a lady’s house and got caught. I told my parents that we were just throwing snowballs at each other and an errant one must have hit the lady’s window. And, before we got there, someone else must have (obviously) dropped some eggs in the snow. This feels like that.
I’m so sorry for your loss. We lost our Sam a few weeks ago, who was about the same age (he was a rescue, so we don’t know exactly). One of the most heartbreaking moments of my life, so I very much understand the pain you are in. I wish you strength and healing. ❤️🩹
