I think the Dems need to stop being so conservative and take significant policy decisions and take bigger actions than they previously conceived. Things are worse than expected and bigger change is required. Billionaires have had their days.

I find that hard to believe, but have only seen in Sweden so can’t opine. Would be interesting to see rates of criminal offences by those groups in both countries.
Sweden’s per capita refugee intake has been far higher than the US in the long term so of course it has had a bigger impact. Only recent idiocy by Biden sent per capita rates through the roof. It wasn’t a national transparent decision in the US as it was in Sweden.

I have not seen evidence of such a policy in either the UK or the US. Without the policy obviously it can’t happen.
Half my family is Swedish but like most Swedes they trust what the government tells them. But I have seen refugees in quite remote towns under the policy, which I agree with, that a national policy to take large amounts of refugees means that it should happen all over the country.

I’ve been to country towns that have them. They have a distribution policy. They have facilities for them to live all over (obviously more in big cities than towns). They provide accomodation (which concentrates them in those facilities) and Swedish education and Swedish law training.
The directors in charge of the company should be taken to account and the company pay $millions. But the only solution is regulation since this is a very large FAIL.
You don’t have a program like Sweden does of spreading refugees around the whole country, so it is possible in the UK for large concentrations of refugees to have a material impact on services to the community.
