None? There are a lot of people I’ve witnessed doing wrong, in ways that demonstrate that they *know* they’re doing wrong, while also demonstrating a kind of arrogant confidence that reads like “the more assertive I appear, the more I will shape reality because reality is just opinions”.
I’ve been ranting endlessly about how much damage has been done to civilization by the culture of walking on eggshells for “sincerely held beliefs”. People need to be deprogrammed. We can’t even begin until we have a culture that calls out delusion for what it is.

This is someone I knew in person; her thread touches on things I witnessed. Believing people about their own life experiences is crucial to averting bigotry. So much toxic culture is built around forcing people into boxes of absolutes, to comfort those who don’t know themselves, let alone others.

got myself a Bluray player; been getting new & used discs over the last few months. The image quality is way better than streaming, especially in dark scenes. Physical media for the win… and the sense of agency over what we can watch when we want it, which was the promise (now lie) of streaming.

The worst missing function is post editing. That should’ve been solved by the first public release and it’s still missing. I’m surprised they’re actually working on proper verification systems, but glad.
Without spoilers: I ended up rooting for the best outcomes more than the characters in specific. Some reward was had there. I felt disappointed in some characters at times (and the choices made by writers in specific), but also fairly relieved and impressed at the ultimate conclusion.
I get it. I’ve had this discussion with others. I get that there’s some interpretation of the word “charisma” being used to describe Trump, and why. It’s definitely not the usage I grew up with.

There’s a lot that’s broken and poorly designed. There are very specific UI bugs that appear to come straight from the shared code of Twitter.
It doesn’t need pull. Twitter has push. Elon Musk turned Twitter into an intolerable hellhole. BlueSky has the most familiar, and least-painful, user experience (out of the whole scope of shitty social media user experiences; I rank Facebook as the absolute worst user experience).
That was a difficulty. Most of the characters are grey; sometimes it feels like they’ve been arbitrarily positioned to retcon or even thwart the audience. Lots of shows piss me off with that (some even work to make EVERYONE horrible). Ultimately I felt Continuum was worth my time.

It’s especially frustrating when people we know who are capable of getting degrees seem incapable of or unwilling to exercise critical thinking.
Most doctors aren’t scientists. This was a disappointing & disturbing lesson I learned about “the job of being a doctor”, as well as many other naive beliefs I had about “the adult world” since entering it myself decades ago. Same for the computer industry: most aren’t even science literate.
I failed pre-algebra, as I had an undiagnosed LD (dyscalculia being the key here) 🤷🏽♂️ Forced to take 2 remedial maths just to get college math (failed to get that; gave up). At least I have reading… and critical thinking skills enough to know that I’m apt to fuck up basic math and not see it. Sigh
