4) I reached his temporary vehicle into the flowering plants before releasing him, and he took off like a shot in a grand spiral up into the fresh air.
An innocent artist (a USAF Vet, Boo!), who likes puzzles, travel, beer and tapas, and tasty contracts with verifiable Royalty clauses, and also clever merchandising contracts, and dinner parties, Yay! - not in that order

3) through the busy dining room, through another, past the busy entry vestibule with waiting line of people, across the busy veranda populated by round tables and lazy chairs filled with people, down the granite steps and into the garden. Thinking he might be exhausted ...

2) I sat by the window, where a huge Dragonfly soon came seeking a way outdoors. The waiter said that he (the waiter) needed help to work the window (double paned an probably painted shut anyway), so I managed to catch him (the Dragonfly) in a water glass, covered it with a napkin, and walked him

1) We met up yesterday for lunch at the new location of the Putney Diner, now set in a grand old home, the main rooms have been renovated in a way that reveals the huge timbers revealed by removing the old ceiling, while leaving many original details delightfully intact - it's a wonderful space ...

with a story, for National Sewing Machine Day - I couldn’t walk yet, but, in an unsupervised moment I entangled myself in the leather cord of Yaya's treadle sewing machine's flywheel - a cologne bottle then fell and drenched me (I still can't sew, and I Never use shaving lotion or colognes any more)

There was no traffic, so I stopped and proceeded to forget the record button on my iPhone while I watched the cub trying out one tree after the other. His mother never showed, and when he jelly-rolled across the road in front of me and up that hill, I proceeded home to draw him from memory.

I agree with you - I am ready to haunt the house I sold a year ago or so, new owners painted over a room I had decorated - with a flat color. Not only was it absolutely innocent fluff, but, when I was still "working in Manhattan", that mural would have been worth a boat load to a nice client, lol.

I think that when sharing intrinsically uplifting observations, the episode of observing (eavesdropping) should be qualified as something like "constructive eavesdropping" (tangentially related to what I call "constructive drawing" when I go to town meetings just to draw the captive audience, lol)

2/2 ... I soon learned to close the door and use that light to examine the secured books. I poured over my favorite sections so much, that, without any intention of doing so, I one day began to spontaneously "hear" the texts, and reading happened on it's own, un-encouraged, without introduction
Edward Huse (@edwardhuse.bsky.social)
Did this ever happen for you? My parents bought me books, and kept most of them in a closet until I should be "old enough" for them - instantly making them "forbidden fruits". The closet had a light, though ... 1/2
