The real “partisan divide” in the U.S. is the party of the bourgeois elite and their “fiscal conservatism” and everyone else in the other side. The problem is both “parties” are controlled by one partisan group. The relevant divide is NOT between Democrat and Republican.

The opposite of “fiscal conservatism” would seem to provide robust public services and good, would deal with monopoly and wealth over accumulation, and would decriminalize migration and end poverty. To do that, the “fiscal conservatives” need to be unwelcomed.
The circle grows wider to include more people but it has to shrink a bit to exclude intolerant politics. That includes “fiscal conservatism” which has to go.
