Alaska could do fine without many cars. Most of its land is without roads, and the towns are just small villages aside from Anchorage and a few others. If they used bikes, legs, and busses for the Anchorage area, and trains to get to other regions, they could be more efficient.
It doesn't mattet if MAGA follows them, they only need that support if they're trying to get elected. They'll already have that power of presidency, and their policies will be much worse.

Technically, a few are gerrymandering. However, I don't care how "dirty" of a play it is. Republicans have played dirty since the US began. Most red states are gerrymandered to ensure republican victory. ND and SD are split to give Repubs more votes, too. If they gonna play dirty, we should too.
Gavin's policies are just barely liberal enough to increase costs while not offering much in terms of human rights. As in, the whole reason why higher life costs are worth it in most blue states. He is a transphobic centrist who will not make useful change.
Gavin is not much different from Trump if you look at his actual policies. He's a bit better, but frankly that won't cut it. Even if he did run and win, we'd end up in the current situation again very soon afterward, as he won't do anything against far-right ideologies and capitalism.
