An IV for Dialysis could be the cause of his bruising, yes. It’s possible that he has undisclosed diabetes. He’s not honest about anything.
If his bruising was due to an injury to the back of his hand, it (the bruising) should be healed by now. Even if he’s on a blood thinner, the fact that he still has bruising suggests something like an IV treatment.
