Ummm đ¤âŚ not to be âthat guy,â but my current understanding of the functioning of our government is that anything that goes to the SCOTUS is found in favor of the regime, like their job is just to legitimize whatever the regime does. How exactly then is Illinois filing anything there a good idea?
Personally, I would like to see him and the state go down the road of actively blocking their entry into Illinois. Pragmatically, I think the farthest he will go is denying any cooperation between city/state and any occupying force.
One of the most laughable things about their ideology is the question of admittance. Exactly who qualifies and how? Is DNA testing involved to substantiate if youâre âAmerican enough?â Thereâs certainly no written testing. Or am I overthinking this and any type of white is in?
As per usual it is not getting the attention a matter of such importance should get in our major, mainstream media.

At this exact juncture of American history, I donât believe there is anyone with any ability to hold Trump and his regime accountable for anything. My belief is that the only thing that MIGHT change the tide of things is when/if one of his paramilitary forces outright kills someone on camera.
I am slowly coming to the belief that major, mainstream media âreporters and journalistsâ are complicit in what is happening by only covering what is happening in the manner that their oligarch owners so determine.
My belief is that the average American is so far removed from even what the major, mainstream media is âreportingâ that they have little to no idea just how bad things truly are. Itâs easier to get off of work and play video games, drown in social media, or otherwise tune-out.
Sadly, the average American will be okay with this action until they, themselves, are standing before the same judge having been accused of crimes against the regime.
More likely, since this a position that the administration supports, is that tariffs will be reduced and other incentives given.
I was not aware that the SCOTUS had any principles or doctrines that it adhered to anymore. My understanding of the function of the SCOTUS during this regime is that it is their job is to find a way to make the regimeâs actions legal contorting the law as needed in the process.
My belief is that the Trump regime doesnât have any respect for any court that disagrees with him, and that, ultimately, on appeal, the SCOTUS will side with him.

Each state and city is going to respond to the deployment of other states National Guards in different ways. It will be interesting to see how things will play out in Chicago if the state and city actually follow through on not cooperating.

America has lost an untold millions of people to the hatred caused by the propaganda and misinformation of the right. When and if this current fascist takeover passes, I am not sure what the solution is for deprogramming these people of their hatred.

My anxiety and depression are so deep and weird, I struggle with a weird imposter syndrome about the amount of mental healthcare I receive from the VA. There are so many other vets far worse off than me. Those are the people I really worry about if their care is reduced. Iâll probably be okay.
Since retiring from the US Army in 2023 and moving to the area, my local VA has been amazing. I have received the best healthcare of my life. Up until today Iâve never knew that things were not well at my local VA as I visit frequently for a number of different things and all seems normal.
TL:DR Today at my weekly VA psychology appointment, I was informed that come the new fiscal year (October) that due to provider shortages a committee will be convened to determine an âappropriate mental health care planâ for each veteran which might result in a recommendation for reduced care. đ
