In Tarrant County (Ft Worth) they are closing polling places to save money. All of those polling places are in minority neighborhoods. And, what's really interesting, most of the polling places are in public buildings, schools & libraries, and manned by volunteers.

I was in Hot Springs, Arkansas, when Hurricane Katrina hit. All the hotels were providing free rooms for anyone who had evacuated. When I returned to Dallas, FEMA had taken over many of the hotels in the DFW area.
I was in New Orleans for Mardi Gras once, it was one hell of a party. I do remember all the beads in the trees. I asked my friend, who lives in New Orleans, "Who cleans all this up after the parties?" He said, "We get a hurricane every four or five years and it washes all the beads away."
Four years later, they are still waiting on FEMA, and the administration is gutting that department. Hopefully, you and your family are high and dry.
Both countries produce more milk and cheese than they can consume. It's important to work together to find international markets for the extra dairy products. At the same time, European and local dairy interests must be protected. Donating dairy products to schools and the homeless is a start.
