In today's hearing for Prisha Mosley's case, her lawyers made the claim she didn't file earlier because she was not mentally competent. Her attorneys used this same claim in Morgan Hale's case and the Judge didn't find adequate evidence to substantiate the claim of mental impairment. #DeTransLaw

In a recent Twitter Space, Prisha Mosley appears to accuse her mother of commiting perjury during deposition for her detransitioner lawsuit. The lawsuit is currently proceeding with counts of Fraud and Civil Conspiracy while she looks to revive Med Mal after the passage of HB805 in NC. #DeTransLaw
My understanding is that the reason the Med Mal counts in her case were dismissed was due to SoL. Ultimately even if it goes to trial on those counts, I still don't think she has a chance. Currently only the Fraud count is going to trial and that ones near impossible to actually prove in court.
My read on the intent of the lawmakers is less to do with lawsuits actually being filed and moreso as a deterrent to force physicians in North Carolina to stop providing GAC to patients of all ages because of the increased legal risk and likely increase in malpractice insurance coverage.
It depends. Prisha Mosely is already claiming she's going to use it to revive her dismissed Med Mal Claim (Hers is the only detrans lawsuit in NC I'm aware of), but I doubt it'll be as simple as she claims since there will likely be legal challenges filed against it before the law goes into effect.

Regardless of the ruling, either party can appeal to the California Supreme Court. The only difference is the Supreme Court doesn't have to hear the case. The Appeals Court does.
Complicated question. Kaiser's appealing the motion to compel arbitration being denied. If Appeals court reverses the ruling, Chloe could potentially appeal to the California Supreme Court, but they can choose not to hear the appeal. If Appeals Court affirms, the case goes back to the Trial Court.
