Per local news, he was riding in a ford bronco going NB on 93, driven by some guy from Michigan. The girl was driving the CRV that hit them. The DV was SB on 93 and had nothing to do w Rudi (it’s why EMTs were at the scene so quickly) so unclear why they tried to include that in the story.

I’m glad Netflix made a deal that didn’t cut out PBS but please don’t pretend this was some altruistic endeavor. Netflix got a great deal on proven content that will lure a key demo (kids) to their app where algos will then get those kids hooked on more Netflix content.

(Contd) want to do all of that, you could make HUGE gains by building micro-units of affordable housing, connected to public transport. It’s not that there aren’t solutions, it’s that the folks in charge aren’t interested in actually solving the problem and opt for performative cruelty instead.

It’s actually not that expensive *in the long term* to build a housing funnel with various levels of support based on need (rehab, shelters, temp housing, vouchers/UBI depending on where they are in their journey). If we can build a $200M tent camp, we can solve homelessness and even if you didn’t
