Tariffs can be useful in select situations, but imposing tariffs on countries that don’t even have tariffs on us, miscalculating the size of the tariffs, illegally claiming there’s an economic emergency that lets you bypass Congress is insanity.
The point is that those are the federal parts, not in, say, your neighborhood.
The Capitol is a federal facility as are the parks. The FBI exists across the country. Limiting the definition to production, I expect RW-ers will stop claiming Medicaid or SNAP are socialist, right?
From a strict semantic perspective, paying for police isn’t socialism but law enforcement certainly enables production to flourish. Plus, if I lived in Alabama, I wouldn’t want to pay for policing DC.
