If you know anyone who works for a Pbm and has documentation supporting this , pls let me know

Not true. We have a growing number of brand meds. The only reason we don’t have all brand meds is because the big PBMs threaten to reduce sales of the brand’s meds if they work with us. They know we will do to brand pricing what we did to generics.

My $1000 a month lurasidone is only $10 a month.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
We get Canadians trying to buy from us all the time. Many of our generics are cheaper. Same with other countries as well

This happened with our family - not for a cancer drug but another. We went from $1200 a month to $90. We are so thankful and hope you can continue to add all the medications eventually. Just become President and actually make America great.

I tell everyone about Cost Plus Drugs. I was at a doctor’s appt. and cost of meds came up. I told him and he said it would be great for his wife who is on some expensive drugs. My sister’s med was taken off insurance and it went form several hundred to less than 20 per month on Cost Plus!
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Martha. , do you have any idea how much it costs to build a factory that is designed to make drugs in short supply. Like pediatric cancer drugs ? Hint: it took 5 years to build.

We have to be added to a special program to be able to sell remicade. We are trying. In any event the price should go down in feb of 2026. Hope this helps
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Check back now and then. As our volumes go up our cost goes down and we pass that on to patients

It’s the big PBMs that block the brand manufacturers from working with us
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
We manufacture some. We buy from manufacturers that we test first. We don’t find the cheapest price. We look for quality. We are cheaper because we only charge a 15 pct mark up. And yes. Everything is fda approved

Hey Mark- Told one of my chiropractic patients about Cost Plus Drugs last week and your mission after he complained a skin cancer medicine was going to cost him $1700- He found it on your website for under $20- for real. Best project ever. @costplusdrugs.com
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social)
Is that how you think the site is today ? Many conservatives on here ? Do they have their own community ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
With all due respect Martha , if you want the community to survive , how will they pay their bills ? How will employees be paid a living wage ? What about their healthcare ? How is bluesky going to survive ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social)
Do you think this site can survive with no revenue and a single demo ? For how long ? Or do you not care if it survives ? Just curious your perspective. And I used to be the 4th most blocked !
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
And hopefully you are referring to Minecraft lol
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
What would you like to discuss
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
The challenge is they all moved to UHC at least 30 years ago. Many more than 75 years ago. Their economies were much smaller and the financial and population bases were much smaller than we are now. The issue is getting there. Not the destination.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
And I’ll stand by that. I believe bernie liked the intel deal as well ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
The nba wouldn’t let the mavs post. I introduced bluesky to the nba commissioner to try to get it changed
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
No shit. And are the best reasons for UBI for Caretakers.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s fair. So how do you get from here to there ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
The problem is that the community is shrinking
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Thank you
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Yup
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
That’s easy to deal with.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Premiums are. But there is no limit to what you have to pay for Part A or Part B. You could go broke
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Only to the people who actually provide care. They have to pay their bills.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
No. ACA is expensive and getting more so. Medicaid is limited by income or disability
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Well said
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Like costplusdrugs.com ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
That is true. When did those countries introduce UHC ? What were their systems like when they converted and how does that compare to what it would take to convert the American system ? The issue isn’t the goal. It’s how you get there from where we are.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
There is no limit to what you have to pay out of pocket in our current Medicare system. You can cap it with supplemental insurance. But it’s not cheap
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Medicare is government negotiated pricing. There would be no insurers required.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
What if this way costs you less than what you would pay in taxes ? And have you done the math on whether just taxing the rich would pay for it ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Everyone gets healthcare. Anything that is paid is based on your income. I pay more you pay nothing or less That’s what I think could work. Obviously it needs a lot more than a few posts.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Make more . It’s 3pct , then 5pct etc. get to me and I pay full freight out of pocket. The pct you pay would be paid monthly out of your paycheck. But you pay no insurance premiums. Your taxes probably don’t go up to pay for it
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
The hard part is how do we get from there to where everyone is covered. I personally think that we can use government negotiated pricing (Medicare) and have the federal gov guarantee payment on a means tested basis. Make under 2x the fed pic level. It’s free.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
We spend a ridiculous $5t a year and at least 1/3 or more is wasted. But all the companies involved, and the employees and families that depend on them, are not going to just accept a change , nor will they be transparent about what would work.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Other countries didn’t start from where we are in their moves to UHC. All but a couple of those that switched to UHC, happened a minimum of 30 yrs ago. Before the digital age when health care was much simpler and not as asset intensive The USA is in a far different situation than any of them were
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social)
Require transparency down to the contract level from all providers. Maybe to the point of general ledger entries. Segregate formularies from PBMs. End steering. This allows everyone to dig in and see what care would actually cost and determine a path, that everyone can discuss
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
I agree. I should pay more fica. My point of the post is that Medicare approves plans from the biggest insurance carriers. The companies people hate the most ! And supplemental plans are expensive. It’s far from perfect like most people think it is Getting to UHC is not a simple path .
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
I do. It’s just disappointing. Thanks for all you do on your end !
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
I know you faced that. I’m sorry you did. For me, It’s that this site wasn’t like that for a long time. It was truly amazing. I literally would respond to 100 replies because I appreciated people taking the time to thoughtfully reply. I’m just a few months this place has gone 180 degrees
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent

Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
I’ve blocked so many people. It would be all I do.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
And how would you change that for the betterment of everyone in this country ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
What do you have in mind
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
I do
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
You aren’t.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
The people who run the site don’t think it’s a problem. I want them to see it. The number of users on the site is unfortunately declining. I think this is a key reason why. It’s left wing twitter. . How would you suggest trying to bring about change ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social)
Just to show people what this site is becoming. It used to be, by far, the best site to have an intelligent discussion. Now it’s pretty much impossible.

Great points! It’s definitely a balancing act for unions. Many are concerned about how UHC might impact benefits negotiated over years. The key is finding solutions that ensure everyone gets quality care while preserving the gains we’ve fought for. It’s a tough conversation, but one worth having!
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Which union are you in ? I’ve been working with several larger ones and they do a far better job job of managing expenses and benefits than most of the biggest companies I’ve talked to
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Read the article I posted. What did your union do to fight TH ? If I missed it would love to read more.
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Unless it’s a path to expand healthcare to more businesses whose workers vote. I’m not saying it will ever happen. But I’m surprised unions havent taken one of their strengths, healthcare , as a path to growth
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
The idea is that unions can add more members by expanding their healthcare offerings beyond current membership. It’s a path to grow and have more impact. Not take services away
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
What would a transition plan look like ? Will everyone involved in healthcare just fall in line and do what they are told ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
How do you know I don’t do that and more ? Have you taken a second at all before bitching at someone you don’t know ? Now back to your union. Why not offer your benefits to companies in exchange for doing their collective bargaining ? Has it crossed your mind that it would grow unions ?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Both are bad if you can’t afford supplemental coverage
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
I’ve mentioned it a lot on here. To the point of thinking you were setting me up for something 😇
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Costplusdrugs.com business.costplusdrugs.com We are working with unions to cut their benefits costs. I’ve tried to find ways to extend their benefits to others. But no appetite there. I’m taking on insurance companies and PBMs, So that everyone can afford meds and if we get to UHC the country can
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
And thanks for being a fire fighter !
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
Good for you. What about working on Taft hartley so you can extend your offerings to those outside the union? You could grow your membership instantly by going to small to med bus and taking over their healthcare in exchange for collective bargaining their employees. Why not try to change TH
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
www.hofstra.edu/sites/defaul...
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social)
I see you work in labor. Most have amazing plans and do a great job of running them. Why aren’t you fighting to change or replace Taft Hartley so everyone can get access to the same care you get? Will your union oppose UHC bc of lost benefits for members?
Mark Cuban (@mcuban.bsky.social) reply parent
So how do we get from here to there if M4A is passed tomorrow ? What do you think happens along the way ?
