This would actually be an awesome idea. It would be great to have sources inside the US along with UKs NHS, Canada's NIHR, or Australia's NHMRC etc to get vaccine and health advice from in English. At this point, the FDA, the CDC, and the NIH are suspected of passing politics as health information.

Nope, I went to the Miriam Webster site directly. Believe it or not I made that with my own device, I didn't find it on Blue Sky and repost it. I searched in their search too.
If you look back she knows what lists I am talking about. The unverified following over 5k and 7k automated lists.
Not mad, she stepped in with a ton of information. The person who curates the list worked with me and yet for some reason I am still being dragged over making a single point that I have not seen support for & that is: following many people spreads misinformation. It only exposes me.
A four second search for "define botting" yields results referring to bots as a software that does something automated usually at a high speed, such as a sneaker bot. Srsly?!?
If you look at my original posts you can see that my issue are these "automated" lists. I am refer to this as botting. I sincerely don't know what you are getting on about with this line of criticism. I was never talking about the data she sent or her activities. I took exception to using list bots.
At least she took the time to look through my posts, most of the screenshots I share I made myself when looking for stuff, not screens from Blue Sky. I even found a few to confirm if a post was real from Twitter lol. I shot and cropped almost all of them.

Generally speaking I reply and make new posts, and almost never retweet or hashtag anything. I am not using the platform as the "source" for what I do post. Usually I check it elsewhere if I am trying to post something I think is important to talk about or just interesting to me.

I agree she is an expert, but I have not found any correlation between following a bunch of accounts at this point beyond these people, such as myself, can be fooled into passing on misinfo. This is because we are exposed to a ton of content and it would be difficult to vet with the platform alone.

Yeah this reminds me of a bit by Patton Oswald called something like "bad guy, good guy" from one of his specials on Netflix maybe 10 years ago about getting hung up on how someone presents themselves (knowingly or not) and how one may miss the mark on who they are talking to making snap judgements.
I cannot see how a follow is elevating anything... You only see a few followers tags on any given account header. It can increase an account's follow count but it doesn't actively prove or give any authority to any given post or posts by an account. This asserts that everyone is dumber than a stump.
The whole "you people" framing is just fundamentally offensive and I am surprised that she doesn't see how it can push people away. This whole "oh the decorum" and "why weren't you nicer when you asked?" It is like I need to be more Wayne and Garth just to breach the subject with her.
Yeah, I would figure that for that to have any value the domain verification would need to be as extensive as finish if someone is notable and this out of reach for me. Like paying for Twitter verified became just a signal for MAGA or right wing dipshits...

For example, this person just added me to a list that IS derogatory and then blocked me to stop me from even posting about it or appealing if you will. This is more of a feelings not facts approach and it rubs me the wrong way.
It is whatever algorithm that feeds me the posts, not the volume of people that I follow. My personal philosophy is just to have a feed that moves along in real time as the conversation develops. If I follow say 100 people and they post irregularly then the convo will be stale by the time I look...

Why is it "telling"? It points out that maybe I have a sense of humor & a laugh brought me a bit of levity to point out that I didn't attack them personally (though my race, gender and past employment is obviously okay to attack as "typical", whatever that means) but I do dissent to their opinion.

And yes I did read your bio, but being exposed to something for a long time does not impart wisdom about it. As an old Sergeant of mine told me over 30 years ago: "the day you know absolutely EVERYTHING about your job, is the day you need a new one." The implication is that you only THINK you know.
This only is looking at bot accounts and automated accounts for how this misinformation spread. So the answer is to use a lazy bot account instead of rolling up one's sleeves and actually moderating content, you know the old "fact checking"?
I did read most of the summaries and in the dozen or so I did read starting from the top down, none of them spoke to people who follow many accounts. This isn't "moderation" it is lazy botting and blaming the victim (read recipient) for their more exposure to misinformation. It is lazy at best...
Accounts and networks that are "run by", "led by", "organized by" yet oddly none are caused by people "FOLLOWED BY". The take is dead simple, you all think people are too stupid to evaluate what comes across their feeds, when in reality it is bad actors with bots & compromised accounts doing this.
Same with this article, again it is not the following account that does the spreading PER THE ARTICLE it is the supersharer manually spreading the misinformation maliciously, not through being shared organically by followers who are duped. This is the dumbest take away for this entire subject.
This article and its sources don't even talk about people who follow a bunch of accounts, it speaks instead of the misinformation accounts themselves! Yes, more people who follow many are EXPOSED to misinformation, but it is not the following account that spreads it, it's the account being followed.

By the article's own admission the follower cannot spread that misinformation faster than the original misinformation accounts. It is a false narrative entirely.
Explain to us all what the typical behavior is of an account that has a broad base of exposure. In nearly every case I can think of the best experience for anyone is to have as much exposure to information as possible then use the most mundane critical thinking skills to evaluate that experience.

2/ Keeping that in mind, the juice may not be worth the squeeze. They rushed to do the bidding of the orange tyrant by crafting these based only on Trump voters and not GOP voters. Making these 5 weakened 10 others and the 4 are majority independent split ticket voters. This may screw them big time.
Something to keep in mind is that Texas was already REALLY gerrymandered and in this case 4 of the 5 new "safe districts" are majority Hispanic/independent. Ones that voted for Trump but they neglected to account for them as split ticket voters, that is Democrats for Congress and Trump for POTUS/1
The only purpose of these kinds of lists is to limit the reach of normal people who just follow a bunch of people to get the broadest view from the platform.
