Well, he sure wasn't a kid ten years ago. I can only speak from my limited experience but apparently he's forgotten Larry Bird, Wayne Gretzky, Magic Johnson, Joe Namath- those are all his generation. So this is just Cuban becoming an old man shaking his fist at kids these days.

Badly needed good news: I got my staples out and walking boots on, and am standing in my kitchen (with a walker) making my own breakfast. We didn't think this would happen for months. I haven't looked out a window or seen my face in over a month. I'm not religious but I am overflowing with joy.

I thought I was sympathetic to disabled people but I couldn't have imagined the nightly existential horrors, the daily frustrations and banal humiliations of being disabled. It can happen to anyone in seconds. I'm going to walk again in a few months, but I will never forget this experience.

At 45, took a remedial math course, taught by former army sergeant. He interviewed us individually, assessed what math he thought would help us the most in our daily lives and taught us accordingly. Now I *adore* Venn diagrams and use them for everything. It's *my* math, the math I *get* and love.
