It was never about the legality or otherwise of asylum seekers, really. It was a very effective way to enable and legitimise hatred of Muslims. By which they mean anyone brown, actually.
Right wingers are all like ‘I just want sh*tty sliced white bread and full-fat beef milk and spam and asbestos and measles and poverty and then I’ll finally live in a world reminiscent of the yesteryear I’ve evoked in my imagination where everyone is white and hummus is illegal and I am king’.
I just popped into my local Morrisons and there were more than 10 brands of basic sliced white and brown bread on the shelf. Not sure where Alex is shopping.

I think I’m literally the only person even remotely in the public eye that isn’t on weight loss jabs. (Know why? I don’t have diabetes or binge eating disorder and *gentle reminder* THATS WHO THEYRE FOR. They weren’t supposed to be for ushering back a terrifying era of 90s style ‘heroin chic’).

…. for granted. To be ABSOLUTELY CLEAR, no one is trying to argue against hybrid working (it’s so beneficial to parents, carers and disabled people amongst others). However, we do need to do something to mediate the harms being caused to young people. Being aware is a good first step…. (2/3)
IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) have done some really interesting research showing hybrid working is having a negative impact on young people entering the workplace-they don’t have access to the same organic mentoring & constructive feedback we non-digital natives took…. (1/3)

There are over 100 unique contributory factors which determine an individual’s weight - most of them genetic or hormonal. You could take two people and feed them the same diet and make them do the same amount of exercise and they’d still look different because they are built differently.

Remember when @lewisgoodall.com floated the notion of 100% inheritance tax and people were like ‘SOME IDEAS SHOULDN’T EVEN BE SPOKEN ABOUT BECAUSE THEY’RE TOO DANGEROUS’?
Government reportedly ‘scrambling to find a solution’ after 150 odd people turned up per asylum hotel in 30 locations across the U.K. There was no ‘scrambling’ when 500k people consistently marched in central London for Palestine. I guess some protestors are worth more than others.
