And every Canadian university town. Halifax, Nova Scotia has 5 universities on downtown peninsula. Like Boston, old city, old tiny streets. Uhauls everywhere and freaked out parents. Driving/walking nightmare! Good luck to y'all. I am staying away!
Yep! Just got the last of my winter's local fruit put away for winter: 15 lbs of purple plums pitted and frozen. Still some veggies to go. I might buy a lemon or pineapple at grocery store in winter but everything else is from local farmers! Yum!

Being on a well in drought area, I am teaching myself just how much water I use. Bucket in shower, large dishpan in sink for rinse water and veg wash water. My outside plants are thriving! And getting exercise from running all the water out to them. Rainbarrels should be as mandatory as green carts.

My doc said straight out: wait until the outer limit of time between doses to get second one to avoid being sick. Her second dose slammed her harder than anything. Not out of bed for 6 days, etc, etc. I got shingles waiting for new free shingles vax to be set up. Brutal!! Get the vax!

Ooooh! Thank you!! I remember checking in once up the driveway to our funky digs in Hilo. Getting out of the car, there were starfruit and passionfruit lying at our feet the way fallen apples do here! Snagged a few and loved them! Passionfruit is at least a buck each in grocery stores here.

And in my province they mail out a poop test to do at home every 2 years, looking for blood in the stool. If you get one of these in the mail, just freaking take the time to do the sample taking and send it in! Your taxes are paying for it already so just get it done! Peace of mind!
My super fast annual mobile clinic mammogram caught something that sent me back for more exams. Found a tiny lump of cancer that has been removed and nothing in lymph nodes. Absolutely no idea and could not feel a thing myself. Just go get the checks, folks! Not fun or pretty but techs are superb!
Many canines love berries! A friend used to let her dog lead her to the best patches of wild blueberries to pick. Dog ate, she picked. They just had to watch out for the coyotes who also knew where the best patches were!
