I disagree. I‘d say that the origins of Nazi racialism are largely found in the late 1800s as a result of domestic political developments. I’d cite “Coming of the Third Reich” for this, but the development of racialized (as opposed to religious) antisemitism and “social hygiene” go back to that.

Granted, in the U.S., a lot of people who have well paying jobs also get health insurance through their employer. There’s taxes and transfers, but it isn’t always the people who pay them (or are exempt from paying them) who benefit (or don’t benefit) from them. Make of that what you will.

I think you're accurately describing a tendency that many Democrats have. I'd push back on all Democrats being like this. Gavin Newsom, for example, (really many state governors; the Congress is more where you see this itching for compromise) is a Democrat that isn't trying to appeal to moderation.

There's a difference between being Republican-lite and trying to find some platform (that isn't dogshit like the Republican platform) which might appeal to conservative types. At the very least, it's worth a shot trying to explain to them why Democratic policies actually are good for them.
