Haven't looked lately but it used to be that Indiana (my home state) had a lot of nodes on the white supremacist groups map. I used to see a group run maneuver with their little, often tiny, kids in my home town. It's always been terrifying.

Many cities have passed ordinances prohibiting certain ICE support by local police. They're not enforced. Some local police are helping ICE avoid warrant restrictions because they know more about the laws than the new goons. Nobody they're arresting has the money to access recourse in the courts.

Re: news reports. On one hand the public needs to be aware of these aholes, especially for counter demonstrations, but then they deserve as little publicity as possible.
