On April 30th, Josh Smith of Montana Knife Company said you won't have to worry about tariffs if you buy American. In the video, he holds up an egg to represent the zero dollars you'll have to pay if you purchase his made-in-USA knives.

The food his chickens eat, where is it produced and where is the equipment making that product produced, and where does the material necessary to create the necessary machinery being dug out and refined come from? If he can answer that, then he can tell if these eggs are tax free or not.

The glib answer is "whatever you want". The non-glib answer is the same - the kukri is the original multi-tool. It functions as a knife, sword, machete, and ax. It's not as effective at any of those tasks as a dedicated tool, but it's incredibly efficient to have a single tool for all 4 tasks.

It’s fine because large corporations like Apple and Hershey are going to get special tariff exemptions, in exchange for donations $$ to Republican candidates and favors for the Trump family. Patriotic small businessmen can just be happy they’re making the rich richer.

As prices rise on groceries, clothes, housing, and autos from the tariffs, employees will need raises which will push up costs for American made products or American workers will lose purchasing power and American products won’t be sold since Trump’s disastrous trade wars globally.
