I saw an exhibit called “Archive and Autobiography” with project by Chinese MFA grad Zuofu Wang on treatment of Chinese workers on Florida citrus farms, in N.E. factories & during construction of U.S. railroads where many died. 20,000 workers, yet they were excluded from famous Golden Spike photo.

Yes, and it can be taught via art. Via art, I learned how many of the 20,000 Chinese workers who built the railroads died. And how no Chinese workers were included in Golden Spike photo that documentated joining of east & west lines for posterity. And how reenactments reproduce original erasure.

Beware generalizing "the left"; it's not a monolith. Even though it seems like a large demo on here, that doesn't mean there isn't a sizeable % on other platforms. And X isn't the only alternative. I don't get why *some* worry about who's still there or write thinkpieces on what BSky is or isn't.

At @ 6:41, Basquiat says "I never went to an art school. I failed the art courses that I did take in school... I learned about art by looking at it, by going to museums.." And he read voraciously. A lot of the iconography, the vocabulary of symbols that he used, are from "Flash of The Spirit".👑🎨

To gauge how it’s “working,” one would have to be clear on what the actual work is, which is not helping to educate children but rather to imbed these systems in a way that they cannot be removed, establish them as a source of truth, and destabilize labor.
