Putin runs a fascist kleptocracy pretending to be a republic. The former Soviet Union ran a kleptocracy masquerading as a socialist republic. Neither of these benefit ordinary citizens. The US runs a capitalist oligarchy imitation democratic republic which provides no benefit to ordinary people.
