I think the saddest thing about these men is that they're so easily manipulated. Raised authoritarian and patriarchal, to suppress their emotions, and no critical thinking. Living their whole lives in fear. Of weakness & punishment, of true intimacy, and of abandonment. And they're totally unaware.
Why has Trump been attacking unions and workers’ rights? He wants working people to feel helpless and divided. Trump and his billionaire backers realize that the collective power of a unified labor movement outweighs their own power. Know this: Workers outnumber the oligarchs.

Can someone graph the historical profits of the gun and ammunition companies over the last 20 years with lines indicating when mass shootings happened? It wouldn't surprise me if there is a spike in profits aligning with each one.
I heard that whenever there is a school shooting, there's a surge in gun and ammunition sales. "Someone is making money off of it" pretty much explains all the BS that's happening, really.
it doesn't fix it, but it can be at least less confusing to know that this is authoritarianism. They see themselves as higher in the hierarchy and they can dictate the rules everyone else must adhere to, while they can do whatever they want. Hypocrisy and inequality are features, not bugs.

Use multiple, decentralized methods of communication and promotte actively sharing verifiable information so that no company or Govt can easily censor information. Then, support for resistance can grow quickly, like TikTok did for awareness of the genocidal actions in Palestine.
It's always "protect the children!" with right wing politics. They know they can emotionally manipulate parents using their protective nature into a knee-jerk reaction by simply suggesting a potential threat to their kids. It's incredibly effective, even if they are aware of the manipulation tactic.

The concentration of wealth in the hands of a few isn't just bad for our economy. It's corrosive to our democracy. When the wealthy and well-connected control our political system, regular people don't have a voice. The result? The demagoguery and corruption we're seeing now.
This is a consequence of making everything in society a competition between individuals: me and mine vs. everyone else. Imagine if all authoritarian people could learn that it's actually all of us vs. life's challenges, and didn't falsely believe everyone else is like them.

Hypocrisy is built into authoritarianism b/c it's about power over others. In their minds, those with power can do whatever they want and dictate rules for others to follow. It needs to be shamed and socially unacceptable with real painful social, political, and financial consequences.

Capitalism is just a slight adjustment from slavery, where "workers" are given the minimum possible pay so that the slave owners can hand off the responsibility of housing and food to keep workers alive, still extract maximum labor, and still retain all the profit from the labor.
They have been taking advantage of how the system works while distracting everyone from being vigilant, so we have all failed to heed the warnings of those who warned us for months/years it was happening. We must fix our ignorance and put in safeguards, like Germany has.
The belief that "it's settled law" means the same as "it can't be overturned" is exactly why they got in. SCOTUS *always* has the power to RE-interpret the law and overturn any previous decisions, similar to how the Constitutional Amendments can always be deprecated by a later Amendment.
And all the Republicans then say "Oh noes... A conflict of interest... And?" and then proceed to do whatever the F they want. Politicians who only say "Hey... That's not right!" should retire and we will elect people who will implement real consequences, and make life better for everyone.
They will say "I was asked if I intend to overturn Roe v. Wade. I didn't say 'I am not going to overturn it'. I said 'It's settled law' which it was, so I didn't lie." They don't answer directly, knowing the people will hear what they want to hear, and/or give up asking. We need to stop this, too.

Education in the States is not great. They probably don't even know it's illegal. Most Americans wouldn't question, either. We're brought up with religion reinforcing authoritarian social structure, so most people do not even think about questioning authority.
