I am an artist who has worked three dimensionally and I can assure you it must be a challenge to arrange delicate wispy fibres into a structurally sound form resistant to the elements.

He has mentioned in the past he alone crafts his dome; no stylist he trusts has the gift to sculpt it.

A big problem is yogurt, sour cream, cottage cheese and dozens of other common foods packaged in those virtually unrecyclable plastics. Rare to see these in 1s or 2s.

Robert Randall (@robertwrandall.bsky.social) reply parent
Just stop making packaging out of plastics 3, 6, and 7. If they have to make single-use materials, make it out of 1, 2, and 4 because that's easier to recycle. The others usually end up in the incinerator.

For example, read this minor incident involving a plane running out of gas in Quebec. Nobody was injured and the plane landed safely. But extensive investigations are underway to ensure it never happens again. www.bst-tsb.gc.ca/eng/enquetes...
Robert Randall (@robertwrandall.bsky.social) reply parent
Will we ever know the circumstances surrounding this crash or will it remain a mystery as most car crashes are? Even minor aircraft incidents are thoroughly investigated and recommendations made. Car crashes are generally limited to who's financially liable.

Charles wearing his Canadian military decorations at the height of Trump's 51st state rhetoric was as powerful a message as he could deliver under the circumstances. It was noticed and appreciated.

Ryoichi Nakagawa (1913–1998) was a Japanese fighter plane engine designer at Nakajima Industries during the Second World War. After the war Nakajima was broken up into Subaru and Prince Motors where Nakagawa helped develop the Prince Skyline, which is now the Infiniti G-series.

The McCartneys had Irish ancestry. Paul's brother was Peter Michael (known as Mike) and their father was also James (known as Jim). So the son had the father's name formally, but not around the house.

I suppose if the line that supplied the data also carried enough power to activate the device independently of the house's electrical connection would be a bonus but the technology to do that is likely a century away.

One of the highlights of Canadian singing comedian/impressionist Andre-Philippe Gagnon's 1980s act was recreating this video in all its high-stepping glory live on stage.

I'll work on that after I'm done with my new invention for when your phone is lost or dead. A free printed paper book with the numbers of every person and business in the city. It would be paid for by the ads placed by respected prominent businesses--no spam, bots, SEO boosting or fake ads.

I was hoping for a juicy Yves cheeseburger but thanks for the suggestion of broth.
Robert Randall (@robertwrandall.bsky.social) reply parent
Yves wasn't the most dynamic brand but it was reliable and everything you could want was found in one place. You never had to go on a scavenger hunt in the freezer aisle or attempt to evaluate unfamiliar brands that only made a couple of products.
Robert Randall (@robertwrandall.bsky.social) reply parent
The parent company is struggling and corporate investors want a quick financial turnaround so they're shedding their "low-margin SKUs". So why not just sell it off since Yves doesn't conflict with anything in their existing portfolio? Yves is a unique company with a broad range of products.

My great-grandfather was plumber sent to Vimy Ridge. When the drinking water pipe he was ordered to install reached the front line he said it produced barely more than a piss trickle. Those were the only words he ever spoke about his army years.

If the music was satiric it might pass, but just using the mark to represent a normal band infringes the copyright. Remember, these laws also protect small companies from having their work stolen by large corporations.

There's a recent clip of Mick and Keith backstage jamming some old blues riffs and I thought that a lot of "classic" bands would do well by shedding what's expected of them and just getting back to what inspired them in the first place, even if it doesn't resemble their last album.

Victoria has dabbled in municipal party politics on an off for decades which has worked OK but if the councillors are whipped, or forced to vote a certain way it's a cancer. They may be free to vote but party apparatchiks may decide the dissenter isn't a team player and won't get future support.
Robert Randall (@robertwrandall.bsky.social) reply parent
I remember Rob Woodland, Victoria's former director of legislative services and I can't comprehend him signing off on such a scheme. I wish to believe there are still people with integrity.

And since a crashed plane is, I believe, not in motion does that mean the flight crew is not being paid as they drag your flaming carcass out?
Robert Randall (@robertwrandall.bsky.social) reply parent
Supposedly, if they started the clock while the plane was on the ground they'd have to pay local payroll taxes. Airlines claim flight crews are adequately compensated but I'm skeptical it truly makes up for it, especially when there is a lengthy delay.

Representational drawing can be a small part of the fine artist's skillset. It could be vital, it could be irrelevant. A piece of fine art can be sitting on a stage while audience members cut away your clothing with scissors.

I mean, being a life drawing expert is a good skill to have as it helps you to interpret, sort, and translate the three dimensional world onto a two dimensional plane. But it's not a mandatory skill. I know a lot of people who are life drawing experts but lousy artists (and vice versa).
