Just stop making packaging out of plastics 3, 6, and 7. If they have to make single-use materials, make it out of 1, 2, and 4 because that's easier to recycle. The others usually end up in the incinerator.

Victoria has dabbled in municipal party politics on an off for decades which has worked OK but if the councillors are whipped, or forced to vote a certain way it's a cancer. They may be free to vote but party apparatchiks may decide the dissenter isn't a team player and won't get future support.

Cycling to work this morning on Mt. Doug X road I heard a giant crunch and saw a huge dust cloud--a tractor trailer on a slick curve crashed into Galey Farms on Blenkinsop. #saanich

Looking north on Blenkinsop. Tractor trailer heading south hit a power pole and slammed into Galey Farms. Workers are seen here directing traffic away from the downed power lines as the dust settles.

Highly unlikely as the cycle path goes through property owned by the Borden family. Getting them to OK a giant overpass that inhibits their plans to redevelop the property would be tough.

I've been riding through there every day for 15 years. I can't think of an easy fix. It looks like the driver blew the red light, either accidentally or intentionally. Google Borden Quadra Rail Crossing to see when it was a train crossing.

It's like Covid. A problem unique and unexpected came up. Scientists came up with a solution to fix it. Then afterward dumb people rewrote the narrative to say the whole thing was a hoax/over-rated/scam.

From the beginning churches would blame any residential school problems on limited government funding while the government would say they only provide the funding, the churches were responsible for conditions. And so it went.
