These are items we added tariffs onto that were already covered under CUSMA. Its not caving, it's back to what already existed. No need for extra tariffs on bourbon we're not buying.
I agree, if Walmart is your main source of groceries @$100/wk, you're not going to cut back to $30-40/wk. You'll still spend your $100, but you won't get as much. Not even logical to cut back 60-70% unless you have somewhere else to get your food.

Majority of the workers in this industry are female. The same people tend to say the same about nurses and teachers. All of these occupations are unionized because without protections few people WOULD choose these occupations. And fewer are choosing, so great point that shoots itself in the foot 🙄

I used to negotiate contracts. The more the discussion, the dumber the deal. I'd go radio-silent till near a deadline, they'd come back with concessions and get real over the details so everyone got what they needed. Every time.
