Every time the courts rule against the administration it shows some separation of powers still survives, the moment that stops America is lost. As long as people can still vote these people out, which has partially happened already there's a chance. One state already lost its super majority.

One of the things the Nazis did when coming to power was push propaganda that Jews were criminals and prone to violence by focusing on crime committed by Jews or fabricating crime they falsely attributed to Jews. The last 36 hours on X has been this on a massive scale against trans people.

It takes a lot more guts to walk up to someone and stab them then to simply point and shoot. I would also take the damage a knife would do and have the chance to resist over getting deleted from across the street. It's ease of use is what makes it so dangerous and casual.

The problem isn't even the stats, the people who put them together likely are skilled at there job and work hard to make them as accurate as possible, But there's so much distrust and misinformation that gets spread on purpose to make you distrust stats so that others can continue to profit.

I think one of the biggest issues is you need to be able to hold two truths at the same time. You can acknowledge when your party or opposition does something right and still hold them accountable when they do not. Doing nothing or my teams always right leads us to where we are now.

Because clearly everyone having guns has made the situation so much better, which is why the US is such a happy, safe place where nothing bad happens and has the lowest rate of crime in the world right? Just like creating more roads leads to more traffic, more guns just leads to reasons to use them.

This means negotiations between the parties remain unresolved. While we are disappointed in the results, we want to thank employees for participating in the process. We would also like to thank the CIRB for administering the vote. This result does not lessen the urgent need to modernize and protect this vital national service. This is the future all corporations and govenment would want if they could get away with it. It's beyond time people get payed a living and retire able wage.

How about we add a export tax to potash. They want our fertilizer they can pay a premium to fund our services.

Everyone should write or call their MP to demand electoral reform. FPTP is a terrible electoral system that's turning us into a two-party country. We deserve better than that. It's past time to move toward a more representative system for Canadians.

If the government actually did there job as the sole shareholder of the company they would have sacked them long ago. Sadly they seem to want the kind of mismanagement that they have provided so far. As such it's up to the workers to tell CP to go pound sand.

If the company had wanted to actually adapt we've been trying to get them to do that for years. We want to work with the company to improve it to expand services, expand jobs, there the ones that don't want to play ball. It's there way or the highway. You'll take what scraps they give and be happy.

Wages aren't even a top issue, the changes to how work gets done will lead to massive job loss, higher injury and physical/mental burnout and generally be absolute chaos. Every depot I've heard from that's converted to just SSD has been a clown show, sequenced that runs late must be doubled next day

Its not enough and frankly canadians in general deserve better. Far too many people in this country are getting left behind and we need more and stronger unions to fight for workers rights and livable wages.

CP had over a year and a half to come to a agreement, instead they directed customers to use other services and did everything they could to seem unreliable directly damaging there own business, frankly on purpose, helping to open the doors to privatization.

CPs problems are 100% down to how it's management have chosen to run the company, They are overspending on purpose not on operating costs but on investments be they vehicles sitting unused in lots, brand new top of the line buildings that clearly haven't improved volume or capital investments.
