Silk Song is supposed to be a spin-off of Hollow Knight and, if I were to compare that to any of the Metroid games, I'd say it's a bit more difficult, but nothing overly insane. Like a Souls game, if you die, you need to return to where you died to recover your in-game currency/exp. That's about it.
