I think we need to stop saying that people hate crime. They like punishment. There are clear ways to reduce crime that involve systemic investment in communities but we avoid doing that in favor of ever more militarized policing because too many people in power like punishment.

Bribes are wealth taxes, but they tend to be taxes on everyone because they make the market way less efficient and lower GDP. It also generates all sorts of conflict of interest. The govt should set rules, but Trumps are arbitrary shakedown rules.

Nope. Should be separated from normal waste as it's an element, is mobile and acts like potassium in cells so enters the food chain. However, it has only a 30 year half life, so it can be stored until it decays sufficiently (~150 years -- as opposed to some isotopes which take thousands of years).

No one is getting radiation burns or radiation sickness from this level of Cs-137. The problem would be mutagenesis and cancer in the long term due to exposure of soft tissues to ionizing radiation from ingested Cs 137. Cs tends to accumulate in milk so nursing mothers should be extra cautious.
