I recorded video of a hit-and-run where a drunk driver hit someone on a bicycle. I gave the video to the police (who were assholes) and to the city prosecutor (who was very friendly). After rescheduling the trial four times because the arresting officer was on vacation, they dropped all charges.
They would have let Trump get away with his involvement with Epstein (there's no guarantee they still won't) just because of the messenger. It had to come from Trump. But I wouldn't have guessed he would have handled the fallout as spectacularly bad as he has. He's doing all the work.

I work for an environmental science consulting firm and we're trying to hire as many former federal employees as we can, and there's a LOT to choose from. Universities are losing funding and private industry won't be able to make up the research funding. It's going to be bad.
