Having said that, rode it through the California and Arizona deserts last year!
Try one, (or maybe don’t!). I’d always dismissed them as too big and heavy but made the mistake of taking one out while my Thunderbird Storm was in for service. Handles so well (better than the Storm!) and doesn’t feel heavy. It does get hot on summer commutes though.
