Dragon Con Monday is our "dress cute" day. This suit needs a few alterations, but I still enjoyed being able to debut it.
Ok on the bright side the police shut them down and they closed. If you bought anything from the A10 booth in pop artist alley at Dragoncon I definitely recommend charging back your purchases. Glad to see Dragoncon took this seriously. Still upset that they took the place of an actual artist tho.

Aquarium Night at Dragon Con has become chill again, and in many ways felt like the show circa 2008. It's been lovely to see so many old faces, as well as new, especially to the super soft room party (which has earned a reputation for the spread we make!)

One guy looked at me very skeptically when I said I was cosplaying Siegfried (I even told him there was a reboot series). He said his mom watches the show (!) and took my pic for her. I hope she tells him I'm a dead ringer for the character.
It's wild that properties feel the need to cater to these nerds who can't even tell their own characters apart from entirely different things.
I really wish more folks could just... sit with *not* being able to recognize every cosplay - it gets really awkward when they aggressively reach for a reference they understand. It's fine to ask! It's fine to not know a reference!
Meanwhile, some of the folks who immediately know I am Siegfried are so shy, they get their friends to verify my cosplay before "bothering" me for a photo. 😅

Massive walkout underway at CDC. RFK jr. must resign so that we can be safe.
The stacked shelves have also been really great for a full room. Everyone can at least keep their daily use stuff in easy reach. Having a room full of cosplayers can be a logistical challenge sometimes
I'm also trying to pack healthier convenience food. I cannot get through the weekend only on Ramen and slim jims.
This year's hotel room upgrade I'm trying out is the sink topper, for the folks who need more makeup space
I want to know *which* Sherlock, so I can properly adjust my outrage, lol

Wow. Who knew animated films could have mass appeal. Gee whiz it's almost like the female poc director was able to make the film she wanted to make and her vision flourished/grew in the hands of skilled artists, animators, musicians and actors without Ai being shoved down their collective throats.

Thank you! There is a wire playing the part of bone. But I have also found that needle felting is a bit like oil painting, in that certain gestures can hide detail that doesn't actually exist, thanks to how our eyes and brains like to interpolate.

This was me and Percy from Critical Role. I enjoyed the character enough to do my own cosplay spin, but wasn't feral and also was way, way behind on episodes. The main issue was not understanding all the references when other fans wanted to interact with me.

Pidge is a food bully and we're separating her from the others when we have the snack puzzler out. But that said, damn, is this cat an efficient mouser. She moves fast when she wants to. (We try to humanely trap and release the occasional mouse for its own good.)
