Managed the year by fluke.
They could shout anything they want and they’d still barely make a single headline. It’s a disgrace that they’re barely given a platform by the mainstay of the media yet we can’t escape the nonsense peddling prick.
Just imagine the level of tactical voting that’s going to need to be required to stop Farage from making things immeasurably worse. It wouldn’t be so bad but the current lot aren’t exactly being perceived to be giving it a decent crack by anyone.

I live in Aberdeenshire and all evening there has been a smell of burning in the air. Just read something that suggests it’s blown up from the North Yorkshire moor fires. Which explains why it smells like burning heath.
I don’t but what I can confirm is that I enjoy driving with the window open a crack (more so than in an a/c cabin) and there are some cars that absolutely benefit from wind deflectors. I get quite annoyed with this new decree that they’re just for vapists.

Even unladen mine rides well. Just gets better the more weight you add. Maxed out the payload with bottled water once, delivered via a B-road, and even the brakes held up to my spirited driving. I’ll be keeping this for a long time.

Stung by a wasp at a BBQ last night. Took a swig out of a can, felt something lumpy as I was swallowing… too late. Bugger stung me somewhere in my oesophagus. Was particularly uncomfortable for a while. 1/10 do not recommend.

Discovered this morning that there’s actually 2 of these things in the woods. Both are equally noisy.

But… where are the parents? Honestly there are probably 7-8 big birds of prey (dunno what sort, exactly, but they’re not all the same) that have just appeared this year in a 3-ish mile radius. Rabbit/Vole populations on the rise? Abundance of food?

If you can ever go to a BTCC race weekend… DO IT. Knockhill may provide the best spectacle of the year but there’s a real buzz in the air and the drivers are, in general, very approachable and engaged with the race fans. 10/10 recommend.

Yup. Our ground is bone dry. Yesterday I walked past a nearby “perma-puddle” and, for the first time I can remember, it was bone dry. The soil is like dust, so bad that there’s now a big hole around our washing line and it now lies at quite the jaunty angle 😂
